Senior Manager, Monitoring

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  •  Participate in strategic planning of Monitoring department and assist to update Monitoring Plan
  •  Assist to prepare logical frameworks
  •  Prepare development programs monitoring work plan and support in implementation
  • Supervise regular periodic verification of activities with checklists (MIS verification) of various programs and prepare reports
  • Conduct monthly field visits at least 30% per month for observing actual vs planned
  • Monitor outputs and outcomes of various programs
  • Maintain regular coordination with assigned programs and monitoring staffs
  • Capacity development of monitoring staff: need assessment, planning, conduct training, follow up
  • Ensure continuous analysis of monitoring information in coordination with other units; and identify potential problem and inputs to improve the overall programming and operations
  • Jointly conduct reflection and learning sessions regularly with the various Programs
  • Communicate with research for any possible use of the learnings for further research
  • Provide necessary technical support to the Analysts in designing monitoring tools, data analysis and report writing
  • Supervise data management assistants in smooth running of overall online monitoring data collection
  • Ensure indirect supervision of respective field level staffs

Educational Requirements: Masters from any recognised university with at least two first class/ division in all academic examination.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 07 years of working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation in any national/ international development organisation

  • Have in-depth knowledge in monitoring and its techniques
  • Have strong strategic and people management skills
  • Innovative and ability to develop structures from scratch
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SPSS
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams and cross-cultural sensitivity

Senior Analyst, Monitoring

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise activities of monitoring officers
  • Select Issues and Indicators of assigned programmes
  • Prepare questionnaires and primary information sheets
  • Determine sample size, methodology and provide orientation to Cluster Managers
  • Data checking, analysis and preparation of presentation sheets and present in the finding presentation meetings
  • Prepare Summary and Narrative Monitoring Reports in English
  • Collect feedback regarding actions taken by the Programmes in the light of monitoring findings
  • Field visit for follow up monitoring works and field-test on questionnaire
  • Communicate and coordinate with assigned programme personnel

 

Educational Requirements: Masters from any recognised university with at least two first class/ division in all academic examination.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 4 years working experience in monitoring and evaluation related works. Especially in designing monitoring tools, methodology, data analysis and report writing in English.
Additional Job Requirements:

  • Have sound knowledge about monitoring concept and its methodology
  • Adequate knowledge on respective programmes to select appropriate issues and indicators.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Sound knowledge in preparing questionnaire and other data collection tools
  • Have skills on monitoring report preparation
  • Skills in designing application based data collection tools by using Open Data Kit (ODK) Software

Officer, Monitoring

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Collect monitoring indicators of programmes through sharing with field based programme managements
  • Participate in bi-monthly meeting and receive orientation on questionnaires
  • Collect data as per questionnaires designed in Open Data Kit Software by using smart phone or tab
  • Share monitoring findings through Primary Information sheets
  • Participate in various meetings and forums at the field level and represent the monitoring department
  • Timely sending of collected data by using online

Educational Requirements: Masters from any recognised university with at least two first class/ division in all academic examination.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of working experience in development projects
